Morning and evening rhythms
Morning is a gentle threshold between rest and work, spirit and motion. It asks for presence more than perfection.

A Rositas morning
- Wake slowly. Before reaching for your phone, whisper thanks for the breath that woke you. Gratitude is the softest alarm clock.
- Open the window. Let in cool air and light; creation stirs you to begin.
- Drink living water. A cup of warm water with lemon grounds the body.
- Tend the home. Make the bed, open the curtains, light a candle. Order calms the soul.
- Pray and plan. Read a verse, jot three intentions: one for home, one for heart, one for others.
- Feed the body. A simple breakfast. Eat as worship, not rush.
Keep a small basket by the kitchen window: notebook, pen, your favourite oil. It becomes your altar of dawn.
A Rositas evening
Evening is the soul’s exhale, the moment to release what clings and invite rest to enter.
- Tidy with tenderness. Wipe counters, fold blankets, whisper thank you for what the day held.
- Soften the light. Switch off bright lamps, keep one candle glowing.
- Scent the air. Diffuse lavender or bergamot; peace has an aroma.
- Reflect briefly. Write one line about where you saw grace today.
- Prepare for tomorrow. Lay out clothes, set water for morning tea, future you is a friend worth helping.
- Rest in faith. Read a psalm aloud, breathe deeply, release control.
Keep a small bottle of pillow mist near the bed: 1 cup distilled water, 1 tbsp witch hazel, 10 drops lavender. Mist the sheets while whispering gratitude for the day.
Sleep is trust made tangible. Close the day the way you close a prayer, with amen in your heart.
