Dishes and kitchen cleaning
The kitchen is where nourishment begins. It should smell of citrus, herbs, and gratitude. Every tool washed, every surface wiped, becomes part of the meal offered in love.

Before you begin preparing a meal, try a small hack: use a lemon peel to swipe and freshen your chopping board or knife. It leaves a clean scent and draws on the natural properties of lemon oil.
Grease-cutting dish soap
- 1 cup Castile soap
- 1 tbsp washing soda
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 10 drops lemon essential oil
Mix gently in a bottle. Use 1 tsp per sink of water, and shake before use.
Dishwasher tablets
- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup baking soda
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp citric acid
- ¼ cup water
- Combine the dry ingredients, then add water slowly until the mixture holds its shape.
- Press into silicone moulds and dry for 24 hours.
- Store airtight.
Wood and cutting-board polish
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp beeswax pellets
- 5 drops lemon essential oil
Melt and stir until smooth, cool slightly, then rub a thin layer onto boards.
Stovetop degreaser spray
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp Castile soap
- 5 drops tea tree essential oil
Shake, spray on grime, wipe with a warm cloth.
As you scrub the pots that feed your family, remember that every meal is daily bread, a blessing renewed with each act of care.
